Jason Papaioannides is a Greek-born, London-based photographer in his final year of a BA in Photography at the London College of Communication, University of the Arts London. Born and raised in Athens, his relationship with photography began through a formalist engagement with the medium. In his research and creative practice, Jason focuses on the intersections of technology and history, colonialism, and museum practices, using photography to explore digital forms of restitution and questions of cultural ownership.
